Lynn and Mindy Tenold exemplify a lifetime of dedication to youth development through their extraordinary leadership and service. For decades, they have been steadfast champions of young people, working behind the scenes to create opportunities. Their commitment is rooted not only in a belief in the 4-H mission, but in passion for helping youth discover their potential.
Lynn’s journey began as a 4-H member showing livestock, sparking a lifelong connection to the organization. Since first joining the Worth County 4-H Committee, he has devoted nearly 50 years to advancing youth development, particularly at the intersection of livestock and education. A natural teacher, Lynn has consistently leveraged his professional relationships to provide hands-on learning experiences. His contributions range from service as Assistant Superintendent of the Iowa State Fair Beef Show to serving as a club leader. If there is an opportunity for youth to learn, Lynn is the first to raise his hand and the bar.
Mindy’s path began as a volunteer and parent, but her dedication quickly grew into a career with Worth County Extension. She served as the County Youth Coordinator for over 15 years, where she fostered an approachable, youth-centered environment that empowered 4-Hers to build skills, confidence, and strong futures.
Together, Lynn and Mindy have left an enduring legacy defined by service, leadership, and an unwavering belief in young people. Their impact continues to resonate across Worth County, where their contributions have enriched both the 4-H program and the lives of those they have inspired.
