For nearly five decades, Grace Evans has selflessly volunteered her time, exemplifying the true essence of service. As a former 4-H member, Grace transitioned seamlessly from member to club leader and mentor, guiding countless young minds through the transformative experience of 4-H. Her passion for nurturing growth and fostering resilience has been a cornerstone of her involvement.

Grace has held the esteemed Pride of Iowa superintendent position for over two decades. In this role, she ignites culinary curiosity in the hearts of youth, encouraging them to explore the joys of cooking with locally sourced ingredients. Her commitment to wholesome Iowa-grown products has inspired generations of budding chefs.

Grace’s impact extends beyond the kitchen. As a dependable supporter of Adair County 4-H through the Pork Producers, she champions the organization’s mission by promoting pork products and educating consumers and producers. She orchestrates the Pig Tail contest at the fair, is a member of the Greenfield Garden Club, and is a volunteer for Ag 4 All. Her dedication doesn’t stop there—she sources and delivers lard for the apple pie baking contest, ensuring that tradition thrives.

Grace’s involvement isn’t limited to specific events; it permeates every corner of Adair County. Whether hosting, organizing, or grilling, she is a constant presence, rallying support, and fostering community spirit. Her unwavering commitment exemplifies the 4-H values of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.
