Since becoming a 4-H leader in 2020, Sara Hawk has made an incredible impact on the youth and families of Madison County through her dedication, leadership, and willingness to serve wherever needed. Because of her efforts, many kids who were looking for a place to become involved in 4-H and livestock showing found a welcoming environment where they could participate, build leadership skills, and become active members of the Madison County 4-H program. Her ability to welcome new families and create opportunities for youth has strengthened not only her club, but our county program as a whole.
One of Sara’s greatest strengths is her willingness to help wherever she is needed. She consistently demonstrates a “can-do” attitude and approaches every challenge with positivity and teamwork. Her support, reliability, and dedication do not go unnoticed. Sara leads by example in everything she does. She encourages youth through her actions, teaches responsibility and kindness, and creates an environment where members feel supported and valued. Her leadership has inspired both youth and fellow volunteers alike.
In recognition of her service, Sara recently received her 5-year volunteer award, but her impact in those five years has been far greater than the timeline suggests. The passion, energy, and heart she brings to 4-H each day make her truly deserving of recognition in the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame. Sara Hawk embodies the values of 4-H through her leadership, service, and dedication to helping young people grow and succeed. Madison County is stronger because of her commitment.
