Randy Kuecker’s love for farming and 4-H began at a young age as a member of the Fenton Progressors 4-H Club. It was his dad who first encouraged he and his siblings to get involved in 4-H, setting in motion a lifelong passion for agriculture, hard work, and community. That early spark grew into a lifelong commitment.
Randy turned his love for agriculture into a career, spending the last 45 years farming side by side with his dad and brother. Together, they built a legacy not just of crops and livestock, but of family, integrity, and excellence.
As the years went on, our recipient’s involvement in 4-H came full circle through his four sons. For over 20 years, his family could be found showing animals at both the Kossuth County Fair and the Iowa State Fair. He served for many years on the Kossuth County Pork Producers, helping support and promote the pork industry locally. His leadership and vision were instrumental in funding the hog building on the Kossuth County Fairgrounds. The Kossuth County Fair has been a cornerstone of his life. And even today, you can find him right where he’s happiest, in the swine barn, lending a hand and helping run both the Open Hog Show and the 4-H/FFA Hog Show as the Superintendent for 25 years.
His story is a true 4-H story, one of family, service, and lifelong dedication to agriculture and community. Through his work, his mentorship, and his quiet leadership, he’s made a lasting impact that will continue to shape Kossuth County 4-H for years to come.
