Joe Chaloupka has been a lifelong leader, mentor, and advocate for agriculture, 4-H, and community service in Guthrie County. When people hear the name Joe Chaloupka, the response is often the same: “Oh, I know Joe. He helped me with…” Whether it was answering questions, mentoring a young exhibitor, or simply offering encouragement, Joe has always been willing to lend a hand. His reputation for generosity, reliability, and selflessness is known throughout the community.
As a former Guthrie County 4-H member, Joe brought a deep understanding of the program when he became leader of the Dodge Dodgers. Joe believed in the potential of every young person and worked tirelessly to help them develop confidence, responsibility, leadership skills, and a lifelong appreciation for agriculture. He invested in the success of both his own children and the many young people he took under his wing. His patience, encouragement, and willingness to share his knowledge helped shape future agricultural leaders.
Joe expanded his service through his involvement on the Youth Committee, helping create opportunities for young people to give back. He understood that 4-H is about more than projects and livestock; it is about developing citizens who serve others.
Throughout his life, Joe has embodied the true spirit of 4-H through service, leadership, mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to youth development.
