The Marth Family has made a lasting and meaningful impact on the Emmet County 4-H program through their dedication, leadership, and passion for helping youth succeed. Thomas and Bobbie Sue Marth have embraced 4-H as a way to empower youth, support families, and strengthen the entire community.
In 2016, Bobbie Sue began leading the Horsin’ Around Club and faithfully served on the Emmet County 4-H & Youth Committee. Through her leadership, she has inspired countless youth to grow. Thomas has worked alongside her, volunteering his time to support club projects, pull the 4-H trailer in parades, assist with fair projects, and help with events. Together, they have opened their hearts to support 4-H activities and create opportunities for youth.
Their passion for 4-H inspired their children, Ethan and Ruth, to fully invest in the program and explore the many opportunities 4-H provides. Even after graduating from 4-H, both continued serving the program and giving back to the next generation. Ethan serves as superintendent of the dog program, supports the small animal livestock committee, and serves on the Emmet County 4-H Foundation. Ruth continues to mentor younger members through the Horsin’ Around Club, clothing and communications events, and the dog and horse programs. She also served on the 4-H & Youth Committee.
The Marth Family’s dedication, generosity, and belief in young people have strengthened Emmet County 4-H and positively impacted the entire community.
