Randy and Holly Cooper have served as Adams County Fair Swine superintendents for 20 years, just including their recorded years of service! Randy showed cattle and pigs as an Adams County 4-H youth. He has always been a staple at the Adams County Fair, helping wherever needed.
During their 20 years as swine superintendents, Randy and Holly have met and been mentors to so many youth. Randy makes sure weigh-in goes smoothly by placing tags and reading ear notches. Holly may be wearing her slippers on weigh in morning, but she is there with a smile. She always makes sure that the kids are smiling too and having a good time, forming a relationship with each one! Sometimes even pink hair and a pink pig hat have come out for the swine show!
Countless hours have been spent getting fair programs ready, sometimes even late into the evening so the show would be ready for first thing in the morning. Holly always made sure everything was correct and then took care of all of the post fair paperwork that had to be submitted.
Randy and Holly have helped the Adams County Fair in so many ways. They were essential in putting up the new swine building, installing a new pen system and shelves above the pens. Randy has always brought in his own personal tractor and spreader to help with clean up. They have also donated the use of their speaker system for years.
Randy and Holly will be missed behind the scenes at the swine barn. Thank you both for your years of service to the youth of Adams County.
