For more than 40 years, Clete & Deb Mosbach have been a constant to Adair County and the Adair County 4-H program.

Clete has always had a love for animals, leading him to become a veterinarian. He met his wife Deb, during their time at ISU.

The couple started calling Greenfield “home” back in the early 80’s when they moved here to run a veterinary practice. Since that time, he has been a well-respected member of the community, in most cases now having worked with three generations of producers and animal lovers. He is always looking out for his patients and their families.

As our local veterinarian, Clete has spent countless hours supporting youth through vet checks, farm calls, office visits, and as the Fair Veterinarian. Sunday morning of fair week, he can be found, green coveralls and all, spending time talking with the younger exhibitors about their animals as they prepare for the Clover Kid & future 4-H'er shows. Clete is a man of patience and always finds the time to explain things and answer questions. He has a true love of working with kids and giving back to his community.

None of this would be possible without the support of his wife, Deb. She keeps the office running, manages the ordering of supplies, upkeep of the books and maintains an accurate schedule, making sure Clete is always where he needs to be. He may be the one you see running around, but Deb is the backbone to the practice and together they make an amazing team. Adair County is fortunate to have these two as amazing supporters of the 4-H program.
