Pam Davis is a beloved and recognizable figure in Washington County 4-H, known for her voice in the sheep barn and leadership in the Crooked Creek 4-H Club. Her deep 4-H roots span five clubs—Eager Beavers, Hustlers, Cyclones, Clovertones, and Crooked Creek—through her parents, her own membership, her children, and now her volunteer work.
Pam has officially served as a club leader for 25 years, though her support began long before. She’s a fixture in the sheep department, helping with weigh-ins, show day, office duties, and mentoring fellow leaders. Known for her toughness and dedication, Pam is respected for being consistent, fair, and deeply committed to youth development. She instills confidence, communication, discipline, and reliability in her members.
Her 4-H memories include hosting and participating in a Canadian exchange, winning the “Kiss a Pig” contest, and presenting on a Tuna Submarine Sandwich—an experience she laughs about today. Pam fondly recalls 4-H as the social highlight for local youth, especially the fair and annual skating party.
In 2022, Pam and her husband Steve were honored as the Washington County 4-H Family of the Year. They raised four active 4-H’ers—Mindy, Kimberly, Eric, and Arial—and now cheer on five grandchildren in 4-H, with more to come.
Pam reflects on past Hall of Fame recipients with pride, knowing she’s part of that legacy. Her greatest joy? Watching kids grow into adults who return to give back. “It’s the greatest gift I’m given,” she says.
