Frank Albertsen has been a dedicated advocate for youth development and agricultural education in Tama County 4-H for decades. While many know him as an FFA advisor, those who’ve worked alongside him recognize his deep passion for 4-H.

Frank’s connection to 4-H began in his youth as an active member. The values and experiences he gained shaped his lifelong commitment to mentoring young leaders. That dedication continued with his own children, who also became active 4-H members.

He served as Tama County Extension Coordinator for nine years, expanding educational programs and resources for families, farmers, and youth. His leadership strengthened the county’s 4-H programming and reinforced his passion for youth development.

Frank is also a familiar voice at the Tama County Fair, serving as announcer for the swine show. His enthusiasm and knowledge make the event engaging and memorable for participants and spectators alike. Whether announcing winners or sharing livestock insights, he ensures every exhibitor feels valued.

Frank’s mentorship has helped countless 4-H’ers develop leadership skills and a deeper connection to agriculture. His dedication earned him recognition as a Friend of the Fair by the Tama County Livestock and Fair Association.

His legacy is one of service, encouragement, and unwavering support for 4-H youth. Thanks to leaders like Frank Albertsen, Tama County 4-H continues to thrive and inspire future generations.
