Bill Wolf was a dedicated supporter of youth and community in Polk County through his extensive involvement in 4-H, the county fair, and civic service. For over a decade, he served as a 4-H club leader, devoting countless hours to mentoring young people—especially in rabbit care and showmanship. Known for his deep knowledge, hands-on teaching, and encouraging spirit, Bill left a lasting impression on many 4-H members, who credited his guidance and humor for their success and confidence in the show ring.

Beyond club leadership, Bill served on the Polk County Fair Board beginning in 2006. His leadership helped ensure the fair remained a meaningful experience for youth exhibitors and the broader community. Whether organizing events or stepping in to help with livestock shows, Bill was always ready to serve.

His commitment extended beyond 4-H. As a member of the American Legion, Bill actively supported community initiatives and fundraising efforts for various organizations, while also standing by his fellow veterans.

Bill embodied the values of 4-H and Extension—leadership, generosity, and community spirit. Whether mentoring a new rabbit exhibitor, coordinating fair logistics, or supporting civic causes, his impact was felt deeply by those around him. His legacy is one of service, mentorship, and a belief in the power of youth to shape a better future.
