Dianne started her 4-H journey in O'Brien County. With 9 years of personal experience in the world of 4-H, Dianne decided she wanted to give back to the 4-H community. This eventually set her on a career path working at the ISU Extension and Outreach Pocahontas County for 29.5 years.
Outside of her personal 4-H journey and work with ISU Extension and Outreach Pocahontas County, Dianne proudly served as a 4-H leader in Pocahontas County for approximately 15 years for the Guys and Gals of Grant 4-H club. Additionally, Dianne was an Achievement Show judge for clubs in Pocahontas County, helping to prepare 4-H members for success at the fair.
Dianne and her husband, Marvin also enrolled their three children in Pocahontas County 4-H where they remained active as a family in 4-H programs, and Marvin served on the Pocahontas County Fair board.
While Dianne's dedication to Pocahontas County 4-H programs continued for several years, she also continued to support local youth through several other volunteer projects and committees. She volunteered for the Elfsborg Lutheran Church Council, various Pocahontas Area Community elementary school committees, as well as served as the Pocahontas Music Boosters Co-chair, and was an active member of the Pocahontas Hometown Country Christmas Committee.
