Ann Meyer, the 2025 Page County 4-H Hall of Fame inductee, has been a dedicated supporter of 4-H for over 50 years. Though never a 4-H member herself, her commitment to the program has been unwavering. She helped her four children with static projects, volunteered countless hours in her daughter’s club booth, the Clover Café, and the pop stand, and frequently transported projects to and from the Iowa State Fair.

Ann served on the Page County Extension Council and supported her husband during his years as a Nodaway Nuggets leader and Fair Board member. Even after her children graduated, she continued to serve—writing notes for judges on entry day, greeting fairgoers in Wibholm Hall, and bringing food to the Clover Café. Now, as a grandmother, she helps her grandchildren with their 4-H projects and enjoys attending the fair each year, especially watching the cattle show and participating in the livestock sale.

Beyond 4-H, Ann dedicated 37 years to teaching Special Education and English in Villisca and Clarinda. After retiring in 2010, she continued to educate others as an adjunct instructor at Iowa Western Community College and at the Clarinda Correctional Facility, helping inmates earn GEDs and diplomas.

Ann has also served her community through the Clarinda Community School Board, the Nodaway Township Board, and currently, the Clarinda Foundation Board. She enjoys time on the family farm, especially at “Meyer Pond,” with her husband of 50 years, children, and grandchildren.

Ann Meyer’s selfless service and dedication make her a true asset to Page County 4-H.
