Brian and Mary Carlson have always embodied the spirit of leadership and community service. For over 30 years, Mary has dedicated herself as a static superintendent, ensuring that exhibits are managed with care and excellence. Their passion for mentorship was evident during their time as 4-H leaders when their four children participated in the program. Brian played a hands-on role, hosting woodworking workshops for the club and assisting young members with their projects, helping to foster creativity and craftsmanship. His commitment extended beyond club activities, as he also served on the fair board, playing an integral role in organizing and supporting the annual fair.
Beyond their official roles, Brian and Mary are a constant presence at the fairgrounds, assisting with preparations before, during, and after events. Most evenings, they can be found working diligently in the Grandstands concession stand, teaming up with other devoted fair supporters to serve the community. Mary has also been the familiar voice of the livestock auction for the past few years, providing engaging and professional announcements. Their dedication to 4-H and the fair has created an enduring impact, inspiring young people to develop leadership skills and fostering a strong sense of community. Through their unwavering support, they continue to encourage and shape the future leaders of tomorrow.
