Jodee has been a lifelong 4-H’er, proudly continuing a strong family tradition. Her grandmother, Pauline Jensen, founded the first all-girls club in Kossuth County, while her parents, Duane and DeeAnn Jensen (Bierstedt), established the first co-ed club in the county. Jodee carried that legacy forward by founding the first Clover Kids clubs in both Kossuth and Pocahontas Counties.

As a youth, Jodee was an active 4-H member, participating in a wide range of static exhibits that sparked a lifelong passion for learning practical skills. She also showed swine, beef, horses, dogs, and sheep at the county fair, gaining valuable experience and confidence through hands-on involvement.

After graduating, Jodee began her judging career, starting with achievement shows and eventually judging county fairs across Iowa. For over 40 years, she has evaluated projects at fairs from north to south, and for more than 30 years, she has served as a judge at the Iowa State Fair. Jodee is known for her encouraging approach, always offering helpful feedback and support to 4-H’ers as they present their work.

Beyond judging, Jodee has hosted workshops for local clubs and continues to share her passion for 4-H by leading the Lucas County Clover Kids Club. She also provides training to local 4-H’ers, helping them build skills and confidence in their projects.

Jodee’s lifelong dedication to 4-H reflects her deep belief in the program’s ability to empower youth through learning, leadership, and service.
