Gary and Tammy Vinsand have consistently provided their time, talents, and energy into supporting Humboldt County 4-H. With both being born and raised in Humboldt they truly see the benefits of the 4-H program.

Tammy is a Humboldt County 4-H alum with showing horses and participating in the clothing event during her time as a 4-H member. She had continued to show her support by serving as a horse project leader and participating on the Humboldt youth committee for a number of years. Tammy also used her talents by being our 4-H food stand manager for several years, both while their kids were in high school and in recent years as well. She has also journeyed down to Polk County to be an active volunteer in their County Fair to support her daughter.

Gary was never a member of 4-H but is a Humboldt FFA alum and participated in showing dairy cattle. He is a current member on the Humboldt County fair board and first joined back in 1995 with only taking a short break off the board since. He has also provided his support/assistance to his wife during her time as the 4-H food stand manager.

Their children Dale, Andrea, and Marci, were all very active Humboldt 4-H members. They participated in several project areas including horses, cattle, swine, clothing event, food and nutrition, home improvement, woodworking, photography, visual arts, and horticulture. Their grandchildren are current Humboldt 4-H members and are participating in several of the same project areas their parents once participated in. Gary and Tammy have enjoyed watching the experiences and successes that each of them has had during their time in 4-H. They are truly great recipients of the 2025 Humboldt County 4-H Hall of Fame Award!
