Judy Bartles has dedicated her life to supporting the 4-H program in Howard County and beyond. A nine-year member of the Howard Happy Hustlers, Judy’s 4-H journey began as a youth and has grown into a lifelong commitment to empowering others through the program.
During high school, Judy and fellow 4-H’ers led a group at the Elma Cottage, offering special needs youth and adults the opportunity to experience the joy and learning of 4-H. Her leadership continued into adulthood as she took on the role of club leader for the Aftonettes, now known as the Afton Aces. Judy is currently in her 41st year leading the Afton Aces, making a remarkable and lasting impact on generations of 4-H members.
In addition to her role as a club leader, Judy has contributed her time and talents by serving on the Howard County Youth Committee and continues to give back as a member of the Howard County 4-H Alumni Committee. She also supports the next generation by assisting with the Riceville Clover Kids program.
Judy’s passion for youth development, her commitment to service, and her unwavering support of the 4-H mission make her an outstanding representative of the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.
