Bruce Bearman is a longtime supporter of 4-H, the youth of Chickasaw County, Chickasaw County 4-H & FFA Achievement show, as well as the Chickasaw County Fair. Bruce has been involved in Chickasaw County 4-H for 36 years. As a youth, Bruce lived in Nashua and was also a member of the Bradford Eager Beavers 4-H club in Chickasaw County. At the county fair, Bruce would be involved in various static projects while also showing pigs, lambs, as well as horses.
After his years in 4-H, Bruce has continued to stay involved by being on the Youth Development Committee, Auction Committee, Livestock Committee, Financial Committee, Awards Committee, Horse Project leader, Judge Youth Record Books, and Chaperone youth Lock-in. Bruce has also stayed involved with the County Fair by helping at weigh-ins, volunteering to help work the livestock shows, vet checks, livestock stalling, fair set up, and the transportation of auction livestock after the sale.
Bruce's dedication extends to his family, often helping his nieces and nephews with their 4-H and FFA projects that they have now been bringing to the fair. He continues to raise livestock on his farm in Sumner while also serving as the Beef and Feed Lifestyle Manager at Five Star Cooperative.
