Natalie’s 4-H journey began as a passionate member who embraced the organization’s values and quickly became a role model. She excelled in agricultural projects, exhibited nearly every species at the Marion County Fair, and was known for mentoring younger members and fostering a welcoming 4-H community.

As an adult, Natalie brought her passion to the Boone County Extension Office, serving 15 years as County Youth Coordinator. She became the heart of the program—creative, organized, and deeply committed to youth. Her innovative efforts included at-home learning kits during the pandemic, a STEM Fest introducing science careers, and an “Outdoor Classroom” on environmental conservation. She also launched popular initiatives such as 4-H Palooza, an overnight zoo trip, and themed “crazes” like Money Craze and Job Craze to make learning fun. Natalie introduced Boone County’s first special interest clubs, including the Science and Technology Club and Poultry Club, which remain active today.

Her commitment extended beyond programming—she secured grants, upheld risk management standards, and built strong community partnerships. Natalie also represented Boone County at state and national 4-H events, presenting workshops and collaborating with other leaders to shape the future of 4-H.

Above all, Natalie cared deeply for the youth. She helped members find meaningful projects, apply for opportunities, and connect with mentors. Her support left a lasting impact on an entire generation of 4-H’ers.

Natalie truly lives the 4-H pledge and has made the best better in Boone County. Boone County proudly nominates her as their 2025 4-H Hall of Fame inductee.
