Pam Morris has been a lifelong member of 4-H, starting as a member of the Dandy Doers 4-H club in Linn County, where she excelled in clothing and cooking projects and showing her horses in both pleasure and barrel racing.
Not long after moving to Kossuth County with her husband, Jeff, she contacted the leader of the German Valley Farmerettes. She offered her knowledge of livestock, which helped their club’s enrollment grow. The club soon changed names and eventually became what is now known as the Titonka Valley Indians 4-H Club. The home-economic style club focused on cooking, sewing, public speaking, and giving back to the community.
Pam and Jeff were also leaders of the Wesley 4-H Club for several years. This club had a strong livestock presence, and the pair helped young people prepare their feeder cattle projects for the county fair. This club also gave back to the community in various ways.
During the fair, Pam volunteers with judging day and helps visitors learn more about the various static projects within the building. She is always willing to jump in wherever needed and give her time.
Pam passed on her love for 4-H to her four children, and they all agreed that it helped them learn the importance of hard work, dedication, and follow-through. Now, she is actively helping her next generation of 4-H members by volunteering with the Clover Kids program, where her youngest granddaughter participates, and all the kids know her as Grandma Pam. Pam is still actively co-leading the Titonka Valley Indians 4-H Club.
