Marsha Roland passed away unexpectedly on December 16th, 2023. Her selfless dedication to her community characterized her life. Marsha served on various committees, including the Alden School Board, United Methodist Women, and the 4-H Foundation. Marsha was employed by Hardin County Extension beginning in 1992 and served many years as the county youth coordinator. Marsha was a strong advocate for the 4-H Washington D.C. trip and made sure Youth County Council members received scholarships and were able to attend that trip.
Marsha not only worked for Hardin County Extension and Outreach for many years but also continued as a volunteer for long after her retirement, serving as a Master Gardener and a Conference Judge at the fair.
Marsha’s passion for nurturing young minds through 4-H has left an indelible mark on our hearts and in our community. Many of the 4-H members who had her as a county youth coordinator are now club leaders and volunteers, and have their children in Hardin County 4-H, all thanks to Marsha's impact on their lives through 4-H. Her commitment, enthusiasm, and endless encouragement inspired countless youth to reach their fullest potential. Her legacy lives in the many lives she touched and the values she instilled in Hardin County 4-H youth. We thank Marsha for her dedication and the profound impact she’s made. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with gratitude and admiration.
