Suzanne Sogard is a pillar within Hamilton County–her dedication to 4-H spans generations and leaves a positive mark on the organization. Married to Doug, Suzanne possesses a network of love and support that includes her children: Michaela, Nathan, Katelyn (married to Nathan Bell), and Landon. Her family roots are deep within 4-H, between her parents, Linda Erickson and the late Gary Erickson, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and more.
Suzanne's journey has been one of unwavering commitment and boundless enthusiasm. As a member of the Clear Lake Sailors, Suzanne immersed herself in 4-H. Her involvement continued as a 4-H club leader, where she embodied a spirit of wholehearted engagement, from chauffeuring participants to meetings to helping with projects and record books. Even after her children graduated from 4-H, she has continued nurturing the next generation of 4-H members and countless others fortunate enough to cross her path.
According to Suzanne’s daughter, Katelyn, one tradition shines through all the memories: the cherished post-static judging Dairy Queen outings. These trips are a beloved memory, a sweet treat after the hard work of club booth building, final static exhibit preparation, and judging day.
Suzanne's journey in 4-H is not merely a narrative of personal achievement; it is a testament to the transformative power of community and the enduring impact of dedicated individuals. Her legacy resonates not only through the achievements of her own family but also through the countless lives she has touched and inspired along the way.
