Jackie Dohlman worked as the county youth coordinator in Franklin County for twenty-five years. Throughout this time she touched countless lives and has made a long-lasting impact. Since her retirement, she has continued volunteering with the Livestock Quiz Bowl and Wildlife Habitat Education Program (WHEP). Both groups practice weekly to attend state competitions. Her commitment and excitement around both programs have encouraged youth to join 4-H so that they can be part of both of these clubs. This year, her livestock quiz bowl group held around fifteen members, and she brought two teams to the State Livestock Triathlon, where students competed in the Livestock Quiz Bowl section.
WHEP and Livestock Quiz Bowl are not the only ways Jackie contributes to the current 4-H program. She is often seen at 4-H events, helping her grandkids, visiting with past 4-H members, and helping out where she can. She is always the first to volunteer and is willing to share her vast knowledge of 4-H with anyone.
Jackie Dohlman has made an immense impact on Franklin County 4-H, not only through her time working as a county youth coordinator, where she built connections with youth, parents, volunteers, and community members, but also as she continues volunteering her time to the program. Her dedication is recognized and vastly appreciated.
