Tammy Emehiser Randolph has been a part of Dallas County 4-H almost all her life. She has devoted most of her waking hours to helping improve the beef program for our 4-H members.
She has taught countless youth life skills through workshops and helped raise additional funds so that all the livestock exhibitors could receive higher premiums when selling their animals. Families always knew where to find her when they needed help, as she was always in the livestock barns.
Tammy was born and raised just west of Adel. She was a 4-H member of the Adam’s Arrows Club. Tammy enjoyed showing Angus cattle, junior feeder pens, and sheep. She learned to love the Dallas County Fair, and all that 4-H stands from her father, who was a club leader and fair board member for 30+ years. After graduation, Tammy remained involved in 4-H by assisting with beef weigh-ins, setting up for the fair, helping in the show ring, and locating buyers for the cattle.
Continuing to exhibit her passion for 4-H, she became the beef superintendent in 1997, a position she held for 16 years. She did an exceptional job organizing shows and assisting young 4-H members with their projects. Tammy also helped start the support group, which raised additional premiums for the livestock auction.
When not volunteering at the Dallas County Fairgrounds she can be found running her own consulting business and is the bull health testing coordinator for Hawkeye Breeders.
