The Webster County 4-H program is proud to announce Rich and Jo Seltz as the 2023 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame inductees for Webster County.
Both Rich and Jo have 4-H running through their blood, as they were both 4-H members themselves and have received our local county 4-H Alumni Award in previous years. As 4-H volunteers, Rich and Jo have dedicated countless hours to the success of the 4-H members. Rich served as a club leader for the Deer Creek Dynamites in the early 90s and was the early organizer of the 4-H static building setup for clubs to have functional space to display their 4-H exhibits. Jo served as a Deer Creek Dynamites club leader, alongside her husband, as well as being a Clover Kids coordinator. Jo has a passion for sewing and has hosted many workshops for 4-Hers to teach them a variety of sewing techniques. One of Jo’s most prominent roles as a Webster County 4-H volunteer was serving as the fair livestock secretary for 25 years! Even though Rich and Jo have stepped away from volunteering directly, they are still supporting the 4-H program by watching their grandkids participate in 4-H. Rich and Jo Seltz are a true example of being a 4-H Family for life. Congratulations!
