Patrick Evans joined the Derby Blue Ribbon Winners 4-H Club at the age of nine years old. Following his high school graduation in 1987, Pat became the assistant club leader and then later became the main club leader. Pat has been the leader of the Derby Blue Ribbon Winners 4-H Club for over 35 years. Pat enjoys working with children and encouraging them to be involved in 4-H.
Pat resides in rural Lucas County with his wife Amy and their five children, James, Ethan, Blake, Logan, and Levi. 4-H runs deep in his family. He has been the club leader for all 4 of his children, eight nephews and nieces, and three great-nephews and nieces. He owns and operates a diversified farming operation that includes corn, beans, hay, and wheat. He has a cow/calf operation, sells purebred Angus bulls, and operates a calf feedlot to prepare calves for market weight. He also raises hogs.
Pat is also a member of the Mormon Trail School Board. Pat has proven to be a great leader for youth in Lucas County and even surrounding communities. Lucas County is proud to have Pat Evans as a 4-H leader. He is always willing to help the youth and encourage them to try new projects. During the Lucas County Fair you can find Pat helping his children and other 4-H members with their livestock, checking out the projects in the exhibit building, and frequently checking in on the Derby Blue Ribbon Winners popcorn and ice cream stand.
