Angela WilsonAngela Wilson resides in Monroe County, Iowa and has been a lifelong 4-H member and supporter of the 4-H program. Angela is the proud mother of three children, Chelsea, Ashley and Jeffrey, and a grandmother to three lively boys. Her children and grandchildren are the highlights of her life. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin Wilson and her family.

She started her 4-H journey in Monroe County as a member of the Monroe Busy Maidens and was also a member of the Hilton Hustlers. During her 4-H exhibitor years, she showed cattle and completed numerous exhibit-building projects. Angela was also crowned fair queen in 1989 and continues to carry that title in jest as she can always be found helping out at the fair. Some say her hair has changed much since the crowing in 1989.

All three of Angela’s children were very active 4-H members exhibiting cattle and completing exhibit building projects. She encouraged her children to be active and shared a deep love for the values 4-H instills in youth.

Angela was employed by Monroe County Extension as the 4-H CYC for six years, and during this time she led the counties Youth Council group. The 4-H’ers of Monroe County were very lucky to have her as their CYC and leader. She was the “go-to” person for any questions and promoted kids to be involved in the 4-H program. After a career change, she continued to stay involved with the 4-H program and the county fair. She is currently the Monroe County Fair board secretary/treasurer and a 4-H Clover Sprout leader. You can find her anytime day or night helping to ensure the county fair is a great success.
