Lynn and Jeri Wenell have both been very active and involved in the Pocahontas County 4-H program and ISU Extension and Outreach Pocahontas County for several years.
Jeri served as a 4-H leader while her three sons were involved in 4-H. She not only led the Golden Horizons 4-H club but encouraged and helped youth apply for state events and judged state recognition applications. Jeri retired from leading the 4-H club when her boys graduated from high school and the club dissolved. Jeri saw the need for a club in the Laurens area and with her hard work and dedication started a 4-H club in Laurens. She mentored the current leaders and retired from the club once they had the club up and going. Jeri continues to serve on the Pocahontas County Youth and Endowment Committee and helping with college scholarship applications. Jeri is the hostess of the fair exhibit building during static exhibit judging day helping youth and parents throughout the day.
Lynn has always been a great supporter of the 4-H program in Pocahontas County. Lynn served on the ISU Extension and Outreach Pocahontas County Council for two different terms. Lynn and Jeri have chaperoned county events as well as 4-H State Conference.
Pocahontas County is very fortunate to have volunteers like Lynn and Jeri serving the residence of Pocahontas County.
