Raymond BowersRaymond Bowers is a valued volunteer for the Jones County 4-H program. He has been a 4-H club leader, Shooting Sports trained instructor and Shooting Sports club leader, poultry superintendent, and Youth Committee member for the past 20 years. Ray is dependable and always has positive youth development as his focus and reason for being involved in 4-H. Ray is always a willing volunteer in the 4-H program and has helped countless families and youth in Jones County.

Ray was instrumental in getting 4-H Shooting Sports program started in Jones County. He helped get a 4-H Shooting Sports trailer with a contained Shooting Gallery inside. Ray took the 4-H Shooting Sports trailer to many community events, offering a 4-H Shooting Sports experience for many adults and youth. Ray maintained the 4-H Shooting Sports trailer so it was always ready for use.

Ray is a volunteer for the Great Jones County, putting in endless hours to help prepare for fair and putting things away after the fair. He manages the poultry department and started the egg hatching exhibit for the public to learn about poultry. Ray is a long time, dedicated volunteer, our "go to" guy in specialized areas. Jones County is lucky to have volunteer time from Raymond Bowers.
