Bill & Becky GoehringBill and Becky Goehring of Libertyville, Iowa, have been active supporters of   4-H for many years. They have been active supporters of 4-H in Jefferson County, Van Buren County, and other surrounding counties. In 1986, Bill’s family took ownership of the Keosauqua Sale Barn, where he met Becky, whom he has been married to for 33 years. Bill and Becky have raised four children: Curtis (Lauren), Lucas (Cody), Ted (Rachelle), and Colby (Hannah). They have three granddaughters Layne, Hattie, Ellie, and another grandchild on the way.

Bill grew up on a farm in Southeast Iowa and attended Iowa State University, graduating with a degree in Animal Science. He then attended the World-Wide College of Auctioneering. Bill has held multiple leadership roles throughout his life and has been a member of several boards of directors for different agricultural organizations. Bill had the honor of judging the National Hereford Show in 2013 & 2015. Bill is a member of the Iowa National Livestock Marketing Association. Bill always treats everyone with respect and kindness and loves to share his knowledge about livestock and agriculture with the youth.

Bill and Becky were both involved in 4-H growing up. They raised four boys to be active participants in 4-H, where they focused on showing livestock. Becky stated that 4-H was a great project they could do as a family, so they became 4-H leaders. Becky has been a 4-H Leader for the Des Moines Ramblers 4-H Club for over 20 years, where she has led community service projects for her club. Her favorite service projects and trips were making apple cider, taking her club Christmas Caroling, ski trips, Amtrack train rides, and participating in the fair parade. Becky ensured that the club gave back to the community by planting flowers around Libertyville and hosting the Easter egg hunt.

Now here comes a dandy… going once, going twice, SOLD. These are just a few of the things you will hear Bill say while auctioneering at the 4-H sale. For years they have led the 4-H Sale Auction in several counties. Not only are they the auctioneers, but they are active supporters of the youth that sell livestock in the auction. Bill and Becky give their time, their effort, their skills, and their hearts. Their countless contributions are a true reflection of the 4-H Pledge; My club, My community, My country, and My World.
