Sue BortzSue Bortz has been involved with the Floyd County 4-H program for a number of years through volunteering as a parent, Extension Council Member, to 4-H Youth Committee Member and most recently as the 4-H Food stand Manager.

Sue served at least 8 years as a 4-H Youth Committee Member with the responsibilities of helping 4-H members to learn responsibility in the 4-H Food stand and by helping with fundraising.  With most recently the position of 4-H Food stand Manager, she also was responsible for ensuring the stand ran smoothly and efficiently.

Sue was also recognized as the 2020 Honorary 4-H Member.

During the years that Sue’s daughter was involved in 4-H, she provided support by helping her with her fair exhibits and encouraging involvement in club activities.  She and her daughter even brought their goats to our Farm and Fun Day to help 2nd graders learn how to care for meat goats.

Over the years Sue has demonstrated a tremendous amount of time and dedication to the Floyd County 4-H program.  Always available to lend a helping hand whether at the 4-H Fair Food stand or with Record book judging, Sue is a valuable asset to Floyd County 4-H.
