Lana MinnickDavis County Extension and Outreach is proud to recognize Lana Minnick as the 2021 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame inductee from Bloomfield.

Lana has been involved with the 4-H program beginning as a 4-H member of the New Hope 4-H Club in Davis County as a youth, then as a 4-H club leader for the Gingham Gang 4-H club when her daughters were in 4-H.

Lana worked for Davis County Extension and Outreach for thirty years. During that time, she wore many hats. She held the positions of Office Assistant, County Youth Coordinator, County Council Leader and was a Clover Kids Leader. Her time as a County Council Leader was spent holding lock-ins, hosting awards nights, and creating a fun, safe environment for the 4-H members involved.

During the County Fair Lana spent many hours doing all of the paperwork for the 4-H/FFA shows. Lana also started the Nest program in Davis County which has been a great asset to the community. Lana still serves our community today by working at the Welcome Center and the Davis County Hospital Auxiliary. She is a member of the Optimist Club and is very active in her church as well.

Davis County 4-H has benefited greatly from the time and effort Lana put into our program.
