Paul and Nikki Ammons have been long time supporters of the 4-H program. Paul got involved at a young age raising hogs and continuing this legacy when he couldn't part with his prize-winning hog Sally at the fair sale; a good decision as she went on to raise more purple ribbon litters.
Paul and Nikki instilled a respect for 4-H and all it offers in their kids, and it was a natural decision for their children to get involved in the local Georgetown Shamrocks 4-H club. They spent many Sunday afternoons hauling kids to 4-H meetings and gatherings. Nikki has also offered her baking skills for years through the 4-H foundation auction occurring during county fair. Paul spent many hours at fair as a hog superintendent over the years, setting up and taking down and preparing for swine shows and auctions.
Paul and Nikki could be found getting ready for county fair, being part of fair clean up, and making sure their kids were taking part in all the preparations, too. Paul also accepted several terms as a fair board member helping shape and guide fair decisions over the years. Paul and Nikki have lived the 4-H creed over the years, offering head, heart, hands and health to the local 4-H program.
