Kevin McNees of Clarinda was involved with the 4-H program since childhood and remained a strong supporter of the Page County 4-H program. Kevin McNees

Growing up Kevin was a member of the Pleasant Ridge 4-H Club in Page County for nine years. Among his favorite projects was woodworking, of which he made a footstool, lamp and various other projects that still decorate his home. He also enjoyed showing cattle and poultry.

Kevin did an educational presentation on flag etiquette and the flag they used during the presentation actually flew over the capital.

Over the last 37 years, Kevin served the 4-H program in many ways. He volunteered as a Safety in Shooting Sports instructor, Poultry and Rabbit superintendent, and did rabbit tattooing for the 4-Hers. Kevin was very patient and kind in helping 4-Hers identify the breeds of their rabbits and poultry. He loved watching the 4-Hers and their projects grow from year to year.

Unfortunately, Kevin passed away very unexpectedly last winter.  Kevin will be greatly missed in the Page County 4-H program and around the fairgrounds.
