Darcy Murley was an accidental volunteer. When her daughter’s 4-H club needed a leader, Darcy stepped up.

While a leader, Darcy discovered more opportunities to serve the 4-H program beyond the county and attended judges training.

When her daughter graduated, Darcy wanted to continue to be involved so she ran for a position on the Calhoun County Extension Council, and is currently serving her second term.

She has served as superintendent of the Open Class Show at the Calhoun County Expo for 5 years and she has hosted the 4-H building at the Iowa State Fair several times.

Darcy continues to judge for county fairs and assist wherever she is needed.
