Marilyn Obmann

Marilyn started as 4-H leader for The Viola Violets in 1977 when her daughter was active in the club.  Later when her son was of the age to join 4-H, Marilyn and husband Fred, along with 2 other couples helped start a boys club that continues today.

Marilyn continued to be leader until around 1989, a few years after her son graduated.  Until this past year Marilyn has served as 4-H exhibit building superintendent at the Sac County Fair and was active on the 4-H endowment committee.

Marilyn has committed her life to her family and to serving her community.  She has been very involved in the lives of her two children and six grandchildren. She shared in the farming operation as she helped milk cMarilyn Obmann receiving awardows, sort pigs, and did field work over the course of her married years.  Today she continues to manage the farm books and still enjoys doing yard work and gardening.

Marilyn has always been active in her church, serving as Sunday school teacher and Superintendent for 30 years and today she continues to be active in Ladies Aid at Peace Lutheran Church.

Her children are especially grateful she provided a warm home with lots of laughter and fun.  Marilyn always welcomed her children’s friends to their home and today it is not uncommon that her grandchildren’s friends are found there as well.  Thank you, Marilyn for your support.
