Curt & Lorieann Kyhl have been actively involved in 4-H from the time their son Chris and daughter Kayla enrolled in 4-H. They have always offered a helping hand wherever it is needed during the year and especially during the week of fair. They have always been huge supporters of 4-H and everything it has to offer. Curt & Lorieann continued to be involved in 4-H even after their children graduated. They became more involved as volunteers and mentors.
Curt has become a Fair Board member actively taking on roles and projects with the best interest of the youth in mind. He also stepped in as a mentor to work with a young lady whose father passed away and is active in the Dairy project. Each year he helps this young lady walk her cows, shares advice and helps her get prepared for the Dairy Show. Curt and another fair board member also helped this young lady get her animals home from fair when she was unable to get help.
Lorieann is also very involved as a volunteer and has helped with setting up, comment writing for judges, filling in for building supervision, helping a family who had problems taking care of their animals and other jobs during the week of fair. She also helps a youth with special needs in the rabbit project area.
Both Curt & Lorieann have volunteered at the annual 4-H Omelet Breakfast and help their daughter Kayla Kyhl who is now a superintendent for the Dairy show and assistant superintendent of Rabbit show. Although Curt was very involved in FFA as a youth and Lorieann was not involved in FFA or 4-H as a child they have a strong love for 4-H and how much it has helped shape their children into who they have become as young adults.
