The Allamakee County 4-H Youth Development Committee is pleased to recognize Don and Michelle Dee as the 2015 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame inductees from Allamakee County.
Don and Michelle are long-time supporters of the Allamakee County 4-H Program. Their 4-H involvement has spanned several years — from their years as 4-H club parents, to volunteering their time and talents. Michelle served as a member of the Youth Development Committee, and is currently a fair superintendent for the horse department. Don served as a dairy superintendent, and a member of the Allamakee County Fair Board. Even though their children have grown and graduated from the 4-H program, this couple still shares their 4-H enthusiasm by sharing their dairy and horses through the county Share-a-Project program with youth in Allamakee County.
During the fair you can see them everywhere; from volunteering as a Fair Board member, helping with the luncheon during conference judging, to working at the dairy and horse shows. Through countless acts of sharing their time and talents, they are a huge asset to the Allamakee County 4-H Program and the Allamakee County Fair.
Don and Michelle’s service to the 4-H Program emphasizes the mission of the 4-H Hall of Fame. They have touched many lives through their dedication, encouragement, commitment, and guidance to the Allamakee County 4-H Program.
