Eileen Blom has a rich history in Mahaska County 4-H. She served as a 4-H club leader, volunteer, Extension volunteer, and currently partners with 4-H through her work in horticulture, floriculture and with the local Farm Bureau.
Eileen’s children participated in Mahaska County 4-H and now her grandchildren are Mahaska County 4-Hers. She shared her knowledge and experiences with many youth, who now have children involved in the program.
Eileen has been a great asset to our sheep program, including the Bottle Lamb program. She assisted with the creation of the rules for the Bottle Lamb project area and currently serves as a Bottle Lamb project judge for the county fair.
Eileen’s daughter, son-in-law and daughter-in-law are all active 4-H club leaders in Mahaska County. 4-H runs deep with her family.
