James (Jim) Stalcup had a huge and lasting impact on the Adams County 4-H program. He and his wife, Judy, raised 3 children who were Adams County 4-Hers participating in beef, horse and static exhibit 4-H projects.
He and Judy were Adams County 4-H horse project leaders for several years and Jim served on the Adams County 4-H/FFA Fair committee. As grandparents, Jim and Judy are now helping grandkids with their 4-H projects and exhibits.
Jim has always had a passion for 4-H and helping young people. In the last several years he has put that passion to work in raising money for the Adams County
4-H Endowment Fund. When Jim learned about the Adams County 4-H fund and the possibilities it could provide young people, he began raising money by asking local businesses and individuals for contributions. To date, Jim has raised more than $40,000 for the 4-H fund enabling scholarships for graduating senior 4-Hers as well as partial support for every Adams County 4-Her’s membership fee.
Congratulations Jim and thanks for all you have done for 4-H in Adams County!
