Joyce Knight has been a volunteer for the Floyd County 4-H program for at least 45 years. She volunteered in many capacities including time spent as a 4-H leader, 4-H Committee Member, and parent volunteer.
In 1982, she was presented the 4-H Honorary Member recognition for her contributions to the 4-H program as a club leader. She has always felt the 4-H program is a worthwhile and meaningful organization to spend her volunteer time.
In 2012 she was honored once again as a Floyd County Friend of
4-H, for her continued support and assistance in the 4-H food stand at fair.
It is because of her continued support of the 4-H program in Floyd County, that her family is still involved in 4-H in many capacities.
