Mark’s involvement with 4-H began in grade school as a member of the Jefferson County Ceniteers 4-H Club.
More recently he judged livestock at the Jefferson County Fair as well as several other Iowa county fairs. He also has judged both Open and 4-H Sheep and Wool classes at the Iowa State Fair. As a county and state fair judge he encourages youth to strive for excellence.
Locally, Mark has been a County Fair Board member and officer, sponsored livestock class trophies, organized workshops and demonstrated proper sheep fitting and showmanship techniques.
He has spent many hours on county fair planning/implementation and fair grounds improvement.
Mark has been involved with agriculture all his life. He received the FFA Iowa Farmer and National Farmer award and a degree in Ag Business from ISU.
