Karla JordanKarla Jordan is a long time supporter of the 4H Program and Youth of Jasper County.  She is in her forty second year of being a    4-H leader and is currently the leader of the Lucky L’s 4H Club.

Not only has she been a club leader for forty two years, but this year marks the twenty fifth year of attending the regional volunteer forum and the twenty fifth year of assisting with the State Leader’s Retreat as well.

She continues to look for ways to “make the best better” by serving on the Jasper County Fair Board, where she has held several offices along with being a long time fair superintendent.  Karla stresses the importance of leadership, communication, and having fun. Several of her club members participate in the county communications event and often advance on to the state fair.  It is not unusual for her entire club to be involved in a Share the Fun Skit.

Karla’s 4H ties go back to her youth as she was a 4H’er in Marion County.  Her fond 4H memories include getting to stay with an aunt and uncle in Knoxville every year so she could attend the fair every day, and refurbishing a sewing chair that she still has.

It is safe to say that Karla Jordan has and continues to be an asset to the county and state 4H program and it is our honor to nominate her as a 4H Hall of Fame inductee from Jasper County.
