Dale Muntz is a strong supporter of youth and 4-H in our county. He assists yearly with the 4-H/FFA beef weigh-in for Van Buren County. Dale attends our annual 4-H awards banquet in November and oversees the sound system. He helps at the county fair by checking in the livestock and verifying livestock health certificates. We know that whenever we need an extra hand, Dale will be willing to volunteer.
Dale has served on the Van Buren County Extension Council since 1991. He has held all four offices on the Extension Council. Dale attends the ISU/Extension Legislative Day every year at the State Capitol. He visits with our state legislators and representatives to make them aware of Extension Council concerns. Dale is a community leader who helped get the Horizons program started in Farmington. Thanks to Dale and other community volunteers, Farmington now has a food pantry to help local families who occasionally need a helping hand.
Dale has been employed by Cessford Construction for 20 years. He has a wife, Carol, and two grown children, Tom and Beth. Beth is following in her father’s 4-H footsteps and is a big contributor to the Van Buren County 4-H horse program. Dale is a certified fire fighter and served on the Farmington Fire Department for 10 years. He serves as a township trustee; serves on the Farmington Art Council; and was the treasurer of the IACEC board for two years.
