Phil and Jan MoorePhil started his 4-H career as a young child growing up in Madison County.  He joined his local 4-H Club and participated in the Madison County Fair, Iowa State Fair, and Ak-sar-ben, exhibiting cattle.

His passion for 4-H did not end when he left school, he decided to volunteer his time to the youth of Madison County through 4-H.  He served as a youth club leader and spent many years as a 4-H father, assisting his two sons, Shawn and Mark, with their 4-H projects.  However, his biggest impact to the 4-H youth has been serving as the Beef Superintendent at the Madison County Fair for nearly 40 years.  He is still in this role today along side his wife Jan and son Mark.  He now has a grandson starting in the Clover Bud program.

Phil Moore, along with his wife Jan, has passed on the family values, hard work, and traditions he learned as a youth in 4-H to his children, grandchildren, and numerous youth throughout Madison County.
