Kathy Clemens has been involved in 4-H since the age of 10. As a 4-H leader of the Indian Creek 4-H club for over 20 years she has mentored her kids, grandkids and many other kids through 4-H, with community service as a major factor in her leadership. She has instilled in the youth that giving to others less fortunate is just the right thing to do. She is a Youth Leader at her church.
In 1993 Kathy started the Linn County Fair Queen contest and continues to be an adviser. While a member of the dairy promotion board, she made a cow costume to wear in parades to promote dairy and helped with the dairy princess contest. As a member of the Linn County Fair Board she has been chairperson for the Kiddie Calf Show, Cock-A-Doodle Zoo and Heritage Day. Kathy and her family also supply many of the animals used in the zoo. All in all Kathy bleeds green.
