Emmet County’s 2010 Iowa Hall of Fame inductee, Diane Nelsen, has been one of the best advocates for 4-H that the county has had. She was a very active 4-H’er herself and now is “giving back” to 4-H as an adult. She was a leader of the Jack Creek Feeders 4-H club, helped with the initial organization of and served as a member on the Emmet County 4-H foundation committee, and volunteered with many aspects of the Emmet County Fair. Diane has lead many 4-H workshops in the county to share her skills with others. She enjoys judging 4-H exhibits at fairs and does achievement shows for several 4-H clubs from Emmet County each year. Diane’s passion for 4-H is an inspiration for all. She has touched the lives of many 4-H youth over the years!
