We would like to recognize Dr. Alan Beyer for his support of the Cedar County 4-H program. Dr. Beyer is a supporter of the 4-H program in numerous ways. -
He served on the youth committee for six years, serving as chairperson during that time. You will find him helping at the market beef weigh-in during December, checking swine ear notches at weigh-in and during the fair, and helping to check heifer tattoos at fair. He also helped youth through the bucket bottle interview process and led workshops on “Food Safety Quality Assurance”.
Dr. Beyer is one of those who believe in the total youth program and is always available to help youth or adults when needed. He is a great listener to the youth and encourages them to try new experiences through their 4-H involvement.
Dr. Beyer is also a member of the Cedar County Extension Council and is serving as chairperson. Through all of this support of the 4-H program Dr. Beyer is always there to help “Make the Best Better” – through encouraging words or a helping hand.
