Bruce Long has been a Webster County 4-H volunteer for over 32 years. After being a 4-H member, he eagerly started volunteering as a leader almost right after high school. He was a club leader of the Gowrie Gainers then became beef superintendent. Bruce currently assists with the rabbit, beef and poultry projects and can be seen assisting any young person in where ever needed. He has acquired much knowledge over the years and is a wealth of information to the 4-H program. Bruce can remember when current 4-H’ers parents were in 4-H and the problems they had. He is glad another generation has started 4-H. Bruce is also involved with many cattlemen groups – on the local and state level.
Webster County is blessed to have this volunteer assist with the
4-H program.
