Growing up, Kenny and Audrey were very active in their own 4-H clubs and each of them worked on livestock projects. Audrey was also very involved with home economics projects. They were great mentors for other youth in their clubs as well as their younger siblings.
As teenagers, the two of them met at the Iowa 4-H Conference. They later married and started their own family. Kenny and Audrey made sure all four of their children were active 4-H members working on swine, horse and beef projects, as well as home economics, photography, share the fun, presentations, fashion review, and clothing selection.
Being involved with 4-H help pave the way for the Bremer family to soar to great heights in the cattle industry. They have exhibited cattle nationally and internationally. Kenny and Audrey are known nationwide for raising and showing excellent cattle.
Over the years, Kenny has judged beef projects and demonstrated beef grooming and showmanship at clinics for the youth. Audrey has been a consumer science judge for club achievement shows and at several county fairs. She has judged exhibits at the state fair for the last few years and really enjoys it. Both of them enjoy teaching and learning from the young people they work with.
After their children grew up and moved on, they have continued to be a big supporter of 4-H. Kenny has been a member of the Wapello County 4-H Expo Board while Audrey is a leader of the Aggies 4-H club. They continue to teach young people in Wapello County and across the state.
